Worship
The beating heart of the church’s life, it’s “source and summit”, is the Eucharist, or the Mass. Here at All Saints, this is offered daily for the needs of the parish and the world.
Our main service of the week is our Sung Mass on Sundays. This is a traditional service with hymns accompanied on the organ, and music performed by our robed choir. Incense is used, and a homily is preached. The aim is to offer a glimpse of the glory of the worship in heaven, ‘in the beauty of holiness’.
We believe strongly that everyone should be welcome and included in our worship, and so small children are encouraged to participate in any way they see fit – please don’t worry about noise if you’re a parent! There are books and toys in church should you wish to use them, and we have a Sunday School group which meets during the Sunday Mass.
During the week we have a full schedule of simpler, said Masses which typically last half an hour. These sometimes include a short homily.
